We are so looking forward to the New Year, as this year has ended on a high note. Owen once again was in the Christmas Pageant. This year he not only got to be a Shepard, but the innkeeper as well. He was so excited to have two lines. I can tell you that know one can turn Mary and Joseph away from the inn faster than Owen. LOL!

We let Noah crack a bottle of champagne for us after all the shows were over. He can't wait to be in another production.
We continued are work on giving back by making a meal for Christmas dinner for a family touched by hard times. We made a pie, lasagna and cookies. We put together a turkey, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans and peas and carrots. The best part: Owen: "Mommy I think they are really going to like that lasagna and be happy." Noah: " When I grow up I'm going to make food to help people."
We celebrated Christmas Eve with Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Allen. We shared a nice meal, opened stockings and they spent the night over waiting for Santa's visit.
Seeing these faces makes all the craziness worth it! They had a blast! Considering last year we were all sick, this certainly made up for it.
We then headed over to spend Christmas at my sister's place. Owen some how managed to break two of my sister's crystal glasses in one shot. Thankfully she wasn't mad! We missed my nephew Tom as he had to work that day.
Final project of the year was sponsored by 20Th Century Fox and UPS for the release of Percy Jackson on DVD. We helped make blankets for our local Project Linus chapter. Project Linus supplies blankets to children in need. The Barrett's turned about 7 blankets, totaling 20 blankets with 5 other families! Fox Home Entertainment named me blogger of the month for the work I had done before this project! You can check that out HERE.
After Christmas we got to spend some time with the rest of the Barrett family! The boys cousins from North Carolina were visiting and we had some fun at Grandma and Grandpa Barrett's house. Noah had the first of two birthday cakes that night!
Cake number two!
The best way to end the year is always Noah's birthday on the 30th! I can't believe he is 10! We celebrated hibachi style and my boy caught the flying zucchini in his mouth! We can't wait to see what the new year holds for us. We wish you all much love and luck! Thank you for being a part of our life.
