Well, last month we headed down to North Carolina for our niece Taylor's Graduation. Our trip was sort of last minute, but we did it anyway. We drove down with Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Allen. It was a long trip, but we had a good time.
We dropped off the grandparents and spent the night at out hotel. We ran out on the beach at night, but the boys so enjoyed waking up to the sun and sandy beach.
The boys just love the beach! It was worth the long ride to see them frolic in the ocean waves, collect shells, and soak up some sun.
We went out for a nice lunch outdoors and while it started off well we had to grab our food and leave. Noah's stomach started to hurt. Frank dropped us off at the hotel and headed to the pharmacy.
Frank and Owen continued to enjoy the pool at the hotel while Noah and I stayed in the room. He soon felt better and got some pool time of his own. That night we attended Taylor's graduation. I wish I had better photos. The family took photos together, but I had the boys outside as they became restless and hungry. We grabbed a bite to eat and then headed to bed.
The next morning we enjoyed the indoor pool before we headed over to the beach. Mommy wanted some hot tub time!
The boys found a jellyfish on the shore, Noah sipped his V8 and Owen caught some rays! Cousin Diana and Jorge stopped by to say hi! It had been a long time since we had seen each other.
Jorge stayed with us and had some quality cousin time with Noah and Owen. We would take him to Taylor's party later. Grandma and Grandpa Barrett stopped by before the party too. We grabbed a quick bite by the pool before we got ready to leave.
Jim and MaryBeth rented a beach house for Taylor's party. We met up with everyone there for the rest of the day/night.
The cousins all got together, great grandma was there and we got to meet cousin Dave's main squeeze Spring.
A good time was had by all. Tomorrow we are headed back to NY with a pit stop in Kitty Hawk. ( Gotta squeeze those homeschooling lessons in there when we can!)
Once we arrived at Kitty Hawk we attended a lecture given by a Park Ranger. Guess who's hand went up when he asked for a volunteer? He also was the only one besides the Ranger that got to touch and operate the million dollar replica model of the Wright Brother's plane!
Grandma, Grandpa and the boys truly enjoyed the trip. I started the day wearing a different dress, but Frank an entire container of green vegetable juice on it! I had to get changed on the side of the road next to an animal carcass. Seriously- you can't make this stuff up!
We had a good ride home. We stopped on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for a stretch! Dropped off Grandma and Grandpa later and finally made it home safe to all the chickens!
